As we can easily notice we are living in a society that is put under the pressure of sharing things, like transportation, places, information etc. The rise of Social Media has made it much simpler for us to share almost all our private life with everyone. Now, people twitting every second of their marriage process in the church do not bother us anymore. I guess every day more we are turning to an all-sharing society. And it seems that this trend is going to keep on enlarging in the future. In an interesting article Lisa Gansky wrote in Forbes she argues that ‘fewer and fewer people will own cars, appliances and homes, opting instead for shared access to transportation, entertainment and shelter’ which I mostly agree even though I wouldn’t generalize it so much but limit it to the consumers belonging to individualistic societies like western Europe, USA, Australia etc. Nowadays there are several companies that already offer customers convenient shared access to goods and services such as movies, cars, consumer products, investments and bikes. Gansky furthermore implies that ‘as more companies and individuals discover the ease and economy of services like these, they will begin shedding the expenses and hassles associated with ownership’, which totally complies with the economic goals of people and companies to find more efficient means and ways of conducting business and life. In a business field characterized by sharing we would notice that former competitors find surprising advantages in joining together to share what was once proprietary data and in some cases create new products together.

All you said is completely true, and the examples are illustrating the comment subtly. One of the ideas that are crossing my mind could be; where are all those inventions and comfortable commodities leading us? Towards a more comfortable and lazy life or self destruction and electronic market? Nevertheless it is a very convenient way of shopping and marketing.
