Happiness, other that can
genetically be inherited, as the textbook explains, can be gained too. How
could it be gained? To answer this question we have to look closer to the group
of characteristics of happy people showed in the book. For example, the person
who devotes a lot of time to family and friends or the one who helps others, it
is very normal that satisfaction could come by fulfilling the others need or
entertain them. The delight could be felt in the spirit and heart by serving
others such as community, family, society, colleagues, and friends. At the same
time the keeping of justice; never fall in emotions when you have to judge a
friend or a relative.
Individual happiness could be gained by
comparing yourself with the ones who are unluckier than you, poorer than you,
the ones who suffer from a disease etc. Another way is to accept failures,
fatalities, losses etc in optimistic ways and fight until you reach the desired
position or grade. Moreover, it could be understood that not anything planned
could be realized or transformed in reality. Then, another important thing is
that you have to nurture others with these principles and to desire for them
what you desire for yourself. Forgiveness is a very important of happiness
components. A person should feel happiness when he forgives or do not penalize
someone else. Happiness = spirit purity as God will could be.
