‘Borrowing Brilliance’ is the most metaphor which can be used to describe the benefiting process while reading the book “Borrowing Brilliance: The Six Steps to Business Innovation by Building on the Ideas of Others” of the author David Kord Murray.
There is no secret at all. We do not mean to grasp the metaphysical issues, but no secret lies in the ground of business area. Businesses do not need to be transformed into scientific labs, nor do we need to think that innovative people are special by nature and cannot be competed. What we are required to do or to be in order to become innovative in business is to understand that:
• solutions can be found by building on others archives of accomplishments; and,
• the way we define the problems determines the nature of solution.
As we see how the traditional civilizations developed their science and growth, we are aware of their multidisciplinary approach. But above all, they knew the language of the nature and their own experience, therefore being able to better define their challenges and finding a more grounded solution to them.
In my impression, this is what David Kord Murray successfully tries to say in this book. Innovation does not mean a scientific invention. It involves everything new to the business that makes money.
Partly agree. In some point of view business is science and innovative people are special. do not expect to see a sign in their face.
