Are entrepreneurs and leaders born or made? I believe there will never be a pure scientific answer to that question. Why? Because the answers we give are resultants of the examples we've seen through our lives. And the fact the we see different samples and perceive them differently makes the answers to these questions not quantifiable. Once again we have to realize we have come to the quintessential convergence point.
As people see the world so they think/behave.(First Law of Performance)
Apart from this, I personally believe that starting young helps.
But actually whoever has/gains the "ability" to do the following, has the right cards to be an entrepreneur IMO :)

I could not agree more with you. Whenever we take one person as an example for a successful leader we tend to watch him/her with the point of view of the present. So we tend to overlook his/her mistakes or his/her defects and concentrate only on his/her virtues. So we have many examples that at one point of time some leaders were seen as wonderful people whereas in another point of time they were seen as perfect examples of tyranny.
YanıtlaSilHi Saimir,
YanıtlaSilI don’t think there is such a clear and defined division, born or made. I think both of them stand and I agree with the book that says, some of our “attributes” are written in our genes. I also agree that this makes only one/third and the other two/third (the “made” part) is still to be discussed.
After i read the book, i have to say that i had the same question as you tried writing in this blog. The pictures shows clearly your opinion about the book and the expression that a figure speaks more than 1000 words is really true in your case. You have sad it in such a practical way. Good job.
YanıtlaSilYour illustration with pictures very teaching. As you mentioned you can not expect to be a successful leader why you believe you have the right genes. Even why the book relies on scientific findings, that seems too early to be seen in practice. So, Scot Shane suggest this theory but doesn't briefly explain how it is going to be used in the business world.
