The author constructed an important metaphor that:” People are made out of other people just as ideas are made out of other ideas. This is why ideas give birth to one another and why i can say that brilliance is borrowed and always has been”. In Borrowing Brilliance, he explains the origins and evolution of an idea by showing to readers how the new ideas are the combinations of existing ideas. It’s really interesting in knowing where to borrow the materials and how to put them together and determining a new application of them. Murray presents a simple Six-Step process that it can be used in order to build an innovation in every field not only in business one:
Step One: Defining—Define the problem you’re trying to solve.
Step Two: Borrowing—Borrow ideas from places with a similar problem.
Step Three: Combining—Connect and combine these borrowed ideas.
Step Four: Incubating—Allow the combinations to incubate into a solution.
Step Five: Judging—Identify the strength and weakness of the solution.
Step Six: Enhancing—Eliminate the weak points while enhancing the strong ones.
According to the author Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein and other creative thinkers are good examples of brilliant borrowers. Albert Einstein allow the combination to incubate into solution, Bill Gate borrow ideas from places with similar problem, George Lucas identify the strength and weakness of the solution. Although it seems not possible, Murray says that all of them have borrowed from various sources and by combining they incubate into solutions.
in fact , Of the intelligence to use the last ideas from others , is not required to start from the first every one , if we open a new company , we can import some experince from other companies .
YanıtlaSilbut many time in a specific fields you want to have your own innovation to have some thing new as example apple was create iphone , they earn the last experince from others but they add something else to attractive people to buy it
Why it seems no possible to you Flogerta? It is possible if you see the author message from a philosophic point of view. try to imagine if you were born and raised alone. you would probably not be able even in communicating with people. With this i want to say that everything is borrowed, even the fact that we can communicate is borrowed from the people who have raised us. Even the learning in the school is borrowed from the people who written the lessons. But even this people for sure that have borrowed from somewhere.Any way probably this point of view of mine is too philosophical to be understood.
YanıtlaSilBorrowing...
YanıtlaSilthis is more clear when we watch "future films" or films with protagonist from other planets.Even directors and screenwriters with extraordinary fantasy can create only the combination of realistic things. There is almost nothing totally new.
