Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation in Your Business

The ideas given by Luke Williams are completely true and contemporaneous. A business, successful or not, needs to change time by time and be refreshed. By this way, it always brings something new not only for the owners but much more for the customers.

While reading passages from the book, I remind how a good household, fond of her house, changes not the furniture but just the way that they are positioned and changes the colours of the walls. When visitors come, they find something “new” but in fact that is completely how Williams describes as Explore the most unexpected corners of your environment. Using your assets and resources to do something new and attractive, while in fact you run the same business with a different form.

It is the same example with the movies of Quentin Tarantino, good attractive and successful. If all films start with a prologue, chronology and end up with an epilogue, using the same resources, Tarantino started his latest movies by the epilogue and changed the chronology of it, thus telling the story differently.

  2. Hi Eduina,
I also think that "change" is definitive for any business time after time. Most companies focus on their existing products and they just try to improve them, without considering that there will come a moment when they will not be able to “improve” those products any more, as the road will go “narrower and narrower”.

The author stated that a disruptive hypothesis is an intentionally unreasonable statement that gets your thinking flowing in a different direction by dreaming things as they never were and asking. The real formula to succeed in such business world of nonstop change should be “differentiate all you want , but figure out a way to be the only one who does what you do, or die.To find Disruptive ideas is like Rubik's cube game...
