Disrupt
As an introduction and not much related to the book I want to say that everyone believes that the world is changing very fast. However, I believe that everything is pretty much the same as it was more than 2000 years before. Of course, material possessions may have changed in form but that is an insignificant change. The basic reason for living still continues to be the same. People need to compare themselves with others and they need to show that they are better. The way in which they show that they are “better” may have changed from time to time but that fact is of no consequence. When human beings were gatherers the women were in a better status and so they had more importance in society. After that when they relied more on hunting men took the dominant position and the better hunters showed that they were better by keeping some remaining parts of some animals as tokens of esteem. Afterwards, after the initial accumulation of capital material possession were the thing more used to gain status. And this has continued until the present times.
Regarding the book, what Luke Williams is saying is that we should not care about the mainstream but instead search for alternative solutions. So, we need to look outside the box and come with ideas that no one ever thought about. Once we thought of this new idea the problem is to transmit it to the others because at first, people will be reluctant to accept it. We need to disrupt their old way of thinking and introduce to them our point of views. If we can manage to do this then success in the business world is assured.
I would agree with the author if his concept was applied to resolving problems. However, I have the feeling that this concept is being used to create new problems instead. More and more nowadays, managers are tricking us into consuming more and more products. What is even worse is that they are making us think that we cannot live without these products like I-phones, I-pads, kindles etc.
As a conclusion, I agree that we should not care about mainstream thoughts and try to be original but this should be done only to resolve existing problems and not to create new ones.

i think the name of disrupt is not the right name may it is better to name it new innovation or new idea , because i'm agree with you the name is very close to create a new problems not to shot it

In "Time paradox" Zimbardo refers to humans as living anachronisms. It means that human nature is changing very slow compared to other things around us.
YanıtlaSilDisrupt stands for the balance spoiling of the status-quot and I believe that we are in this position mainly because of those few people who have dared to disrupt the status-quot.
Let the future generations believe the same thing!
