THE HOW OF HAPPINESS



Is a book written by Sonja Lyubomirsky which explains mainly on how you can get the life you want.
I think that all know that everything we do has a meaning or after doing that has a reason for it. Sonja tries to tell us that when we try taking actions to live better and happier is not a silly goal. She pretends that ones happiness is about 50 % determined by genetics, 40% by self control and 10% by circumstance. In my opinion I would give self control and genetics the same percentage 45%.

Sonja explains that happy people tend to be helthier, great results at work, more effective and have great optimism and all these may help people around them.
Every one of us needs to find a point where he is comfortable with his /her activity and what he really wants. There is a chapter which explains how a person can select activities that fit his interest and needs.
For my opinion different people has different meaning of happiness. Happines for someone can not be happiness for me and viceversa. That’s why different people has their own interest and needs.
Sonja also has included 12 steps that can help raising happiness to internal behaviour of a person.
I liked the fact that the book includes steps to positive psychology in practice tests. I think that also this book helps all peoples who are stressed but also the others raising their happiness and as I said before happier people help the others around them and so on.
A positive and good book to be recommended to the others.

  1. THe happiness ofcourse it is not the same for all of us and each of us has different meaning of happiness. And this why Sonja mention in her book that we should find our "Key" which make us happy. She mention that everybody should find an activity that make them happy. For my opinion to be happy is more complex. Sometimes you are happy will small thing other times you feel so empty that even know that reason of your unhappy . To balance your happy life is very difficult part

    I liked your post and also your quotes, nice ones. The "positive" energy spread through all the pages of the book is what I valued most from this book. I think this is the most appreciable quality of the book.
