Little bets,
I had previously questioned myself about people who made great inventions, who became successful entrepreneurs or extraordinary people who pursued their own ideas and dreams and at some point changed the lives of all us. I had reasoned by myself that those people had something special, brilliant ideas and they succeeded because of that.
This book made me look at this matter differently. You don’t have to come up with the greatest idea and calculate everything and be sure for the conclusion, that’s because you can nearly never have this situation. Through different anecdotes Peter Sims argues that most innovation is the product of discovery, not inspiration
Instead you can try your ideas and if you fail you can learn and make a step forward. One advantage of making small bets is that you learn to cope with failures and to take lessons from them. Continual failure is essential for success, but only in the right environment. Factors that contribute include honest assessment of results, fearless and open experimentation, and a playful attitude to ideas.
The success doesn’t have to be a giant step; instead it would be little steps. So let’s take little steps or little bets and express ourselves.

yes you are right
YanıtlaSili read this sentence (Fail quickly to learn fast)
it is an advise from author to learn more and more , if we increase our knowledge , after that to try for our experimentation if we success it is our objective if not we fail to learn fast , so i remember when Edison try to innovate the lamp they told him you tried ninety time and you field , what are you win from all these experimentation , he respond it is enough for me that i know ninety wrong way
It all started from little things. This is completely true. Even outside business life, in other aspects, we have noticed that people who have neglected the little details have failed many times. Those little bets are very important not only as "initiators" of great ideas but also as constructors of a complete frame of great ideas which later are realized into wonderful inventions.
YanıtlaSilYes Sadihana, once you start calculating everything the probability of starting that project is very low. I do agree that people should do some calculation before but not necessary to calculate in details. According to me people who do much calculation are not the right people to start an enterprise.

May be many of us have has the same feeling or question, in his/her mind regarding the extraordinary success one might have. I guess many times, we have been thinking about the achievements of Donald Trumph, or Steve Jobs, or Bill Gates... In fact this book was a very good tool to breakdown many prejudices regarding the "extraordinary" human being an entrepreneur should be. In fact, Peter Sims says, that little bets are a very valuable tool to start and have success. his advice is not to make bit bets , but to try and to have self confidence, and to believe in own dreams.
YanıtlaSilI was surprised when i heard in the class presentations, that many little bets resulted successful, even in Albania. The farm was an excellent example, also albeu.com was an astonishing little bets that became a success. So, really this book gives hope and courage to innovation .
The creative process is a hands-on experiment. As far as i know the following sentence sould be criteri for every entrepreneur : ``Most successful entrepreneurs don’t begin with brilliant ideas, they discover them.``
