Borrowing Brilliance

Borrowing Brilliance
Since in the first days of their life human being begin to borrow. Firstly they begin to borrow behavior. Little children begin their life by coping their  parents smile J.And day after day they begin to copy everything :  words; the posture; the way of eating ; whims ; habits ; humor…
But when children grow up and became adult they begin to think in a creative manner and try to improve things (nature law). Dave Murray in “Borrowing Brilliance” has presented in a brilliant way the 6-steps of a creative process for finding innovations and improvements in every field of our life. We can be in the right way if we respect the line during this process: first-defining; second-borrowing; third-combining;  forth –incubating ; fifth – judging ; sixth-enhancing .In my opinion if we don’t respect this line we miss organization skills. Another thing is that different people may need different time in each step of this process. There are people that face difficulties in defining step and others in incubating …Each step has its importance and if you don’t pass one of the steps it is like a cycle  game “you must start again from the beginning “.
The most perfect ideas and creative processes has passed between this cycle more and more than the others. In our job if we need to write new procedures regarding of everyday operations we must start from something. If we have previous procedures is more simple because we based on them start to improve the ideas of doing things. Otherwise we need to copy the procedures of the other businesses or to combine some of them.

  1. Very nicely put Linda. We are part of this "borrowing brilliance flow" every day. At work when we search for templates in which we can modify and work on or even at school in which we search past exams. This are parts of the constructive relationships among people who don't know each other but who moves the world forward.

UAW Linda, previously in another blog that i read i was trying to develop my thought bout borrowing, and your first sentence in blog was told in a different way but with the same meaning, the people star to borrow since birth, yes the borrow the education, communication, probably everything, but yet even if we borrow so much from each other we are still original. Aren't we?:))

  3. I complement you Linda for your comparison. It is very true that our life relies on borrowing atitudes. We are like apes. Referring Darwin Theory of evaluation it explains our borrowing ideas and behavior.
