The Time Paradox

Nothing that we do in our life cannot be redone (the same moments exactly cannot come). We cannot regain misspent time or well spent time (doing better).  This is the key on which this book is based.
I can remember many persons and also myself saying: “Oh I wish I could have more time for this and that”, and also remember the moments when sometimes we hear: “I am in the right time, in the right place in the right moment exactly” etc.

The first six chapters explain mainly how time works; the second part of the book tells us how he/her can make time work for him- or herself.

The most important thing is to know the time value. The same hour can be spent differently: working, reading, playing, navigating online, coffee etc. but you need to differentiate the pleasure, the benefits, the costs, the learning’s  each hour gives you and not misspent it in order not to regret later.

I like popular saying such as:
Today’s works not leave for tomorrow.
Three things cannot turn back: given word, issued darts, time spent.
You always have enough time if used properly.

What I liked most also was the six time perspectives/orientations. These orientations have lot of influence on how we react to the world around us, because on how we spend our time it determines our time perspective (past-negative, past-positive, present-fatalistic, present-hedonistic, future, and transcendental-future).

What troubles me is the Internet and the electronic technology revolution. Shyness is fueled in part by so many people spending huge amounts of time alone, isolated on e-mail, in chat rooms, which reduces their face-to-face contact with other people. - Philip Zimbardo.

  2. Time is the most valuable thing in our life. Everz one day to day, weak to weak month to month we have a past a present and a future. Everything in our life can be replenished such as money, houses, properties, but time pass and never come for the second time.It is important to spend the time in best way possible trying to manage time in order future can pay off all our hard work, family care, children love ....etc. All we have to remind to ourself that time is limited for each of us and we have to enjoy it with our lovers, to invest in our job carrier, and in our future unexpected events.

  3. Hi Elvis,
I like your review. I think one of the most difficult issues that we have, is to find out how to spend time efficiently. And about the combination "the right time, the right place and the right moment exactly", we generally miss or can not combine properly the first part, "the right time".

  4. We in Albania have an expression time is gold. Time is more than that. The most important think to enjoy life is to not regret for what has passed.

  5. Every one of us has in his everyday life stories of sharing goods, when teenagers we shared clothes or books, after that in Faculty used to share even the car by sharing the fuel cost. But is great to hear that two competitive businesses do so…
