What’s mine is yours!!!
Collaborative
consumption deals with sharing, renting, swapping. It reminds me the old market
behaviors when people used to barter things in the absence of money (not
known), but nowadays is offered through technology. We as customers for sure do
not just purchase but we also consume obliviously… We have came to a point that the necessary of
changing clothes styles for each season it’s not the only one ,but also the change
of our cars, electronics, arts, books, etc, in a few words “ our consumer
culture”, meaning the most difficult change.
Collaborative
consumption means Value not Ownership, in order to value the fact that you
might have the latest product (car) you should value sharing or value being a
member of Autoshare, Zazcar, and feel proud. On the whole, you find wealth
much more in use than in ownership. (Aristotle). We continue
buying and buying so much stuff as we do not have place to keep them in our
homes so we have to do something with them, get rid of them by doing something
good for others because if you continue just owning stuffs then it ends by them
owning you…
In fact that is a great idea and I
definitely support the concept totally, but there is a problem, and it's not
human nature; not directly anyway. Let’s talk about just for one out four
principles that make the system work” trust between strangers”, which is one of
the most important pillars of collaborative consumption. Without trust, you
don’t have continued and meaningful participation and growth. Trust has to be
cultivated and facilitated. It’s not just available instantly, but grows
organically through the service and positive experiences. So in my opinion this
concept works best for people who feel optimistic about anything new and tend
to trust and get the best of anything…
Actually, I would like prefer to call the concept as" it's more likely trust the stranger who is similar you."
YanıtlaSilI agree with your concept, because if we will sit and think everyone of us is a stranger for the rest of the word.
YanıtlaSilCollaborative consumption means adding value not ownership. If we can increase the trust level in socuieties, we can also increase the collaboration level.
