The purpose of this book is to argue that peer pressure can be equally powerfull when employed for good, and to show how it is done. Rosenberg identifies a social revolution that is changing the way people live, based on exploiting the positive force of peer pressure. She says that the social cure is a natural solution to help people to take care of their own and to encourage them to accomplish difficult task and it gives various examples referring to different ways to use social cure like Otpor’ success toward Milosevic, Anti-smoking group, LoveLife Group in South Africa, Alcoholic Anonymous groups etc. The above mentioned good peer groups are an obvious solution of bad peer groups. Typical attempts to solve social ills motivating to "Join the Club" is very helpful to people. Join the Club presents a interesting look at how peer pressure can be used for positive outcomes like AA and other 'clubs' which changes peoples behavior in useful ways. I appreciate the points discussed in this book.
